There is so much to see in nature! Let's indulge together and break down the process of drawing trees plants, wildlife, and small landscapes. We will appreciate the ecology of the land, while learning technical drafting and illustration skills.
Welcome to "Sketching from Nature!" This class is designed for students ages 3-15 with a parent. Each week we will visit a different location from 5pm-6:30. (Locations are listed with each date in the sign up.) Students will need a small sketchbook and some small portable drawing tools such as pencils, markers, pastels or a combination. We will walk around and sketch at different locations for 20 minutes per shetch. Each time we stop to sketch, I will invite students to watch a short demo on how to draw particular things in the environment. Parents are invited to sketch along too!
Wear comfortable shoes because we will move around, and most locatuions have beautiful trails to explore. Wear bug spray, sun screen and sun glasses.
$10 per youth sketcher. Parents are free!
We will reschedule for heavy rain/ incliment weather.
We will cancel for rain and you will be refunded.
